Creating Your First Decision Brief from a Template
Choose a template, define the question, set an input deadline, and assign a decision maker.
Create a decision page
Inside a project, choose New → Decision Brief. Start with General Product Decision, containing question, background, success conditions, options, and decision.
Write the decision sentence
Define a question that can be completed, such as "Should guest comments be enabled by default in the October release?"
Roles
- Owner: Maintains the page and pace.
- Decision maker: Confirms the final choice.
- Participant: Provides assigned input before the deadline.
- Observer: Can read, with reminders off by default.
One person can be both owner and decision maker.
Input deadline
Choose a date and time zone. Extensions are recorded in history. Comments remain open afterward and new opinions are marked After Deadline Input.
